How to Install Secure Messenger

Installing Secure Messenger into your website, service portal, or application is the first step to getting it up for your visitors. You need to get the code from your Comm100 account and then paste the code into your website’s HTML file. 

This article guides you through steps to install Secure Messenger on your website. 


Step by Step Instructions 

To install Secure Messenger on your website, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Comm100 Control Panel. 
  2. From the left navigation menu, go to Ticketing & Messaging > Channels > Secure Messaging.branding 1.png
  3. Click the Secure Messenger link or click the Install code icon in the Operations column.install 2.png The Installation tab appears. The Installation tab prompts you to complete the configuration under the Security tab first.

    To complete the Security configuration, follow these steps:
    • Configure JWT validation. To learn more about JWT validation, see this article.
    • Provide the Secure Messaging Contact Identity Key name. To learn more about JWT validation for Secure Messenger, see this article.
    • Specify the URLs to allow embedding Secure Messenger. To learn more about URLs, see this article.
  4. Once you have configured the security, send the JWT of authorized customers to Secure Messenger. To learn more about sending the JWT of authorized customers to Secure Messenger, see this article
  5. Click the Live Preview link to check how Secure Messenger looks on your website.
