HOW DO I UNLOCK (OR UNSUSPEND) A SUSPENDED EMPLOYEE’S ACCOUNT?

If a user enters an incorrect password too many times, his or her account will be temporarily suspended.  If the user needs to log into the system before the lockout timer expires, it is possible to unsuspended someone from the User Maintenance screen.

To do this:

  • Click the User link to open a blank User Maintenance screen.
  • Enter the user’s Emp Number or Name and click Search to pull up the User Record.
  • Locate the small box in the middle right of the screen with three checkboxes in it. The last of the checkboxes will be Suspend. It will have a check in it to indicate the user has been suspended. Click on the box to remove the check from next to Suspend.
  • Click Update to save your change.

Users will also be suspended in they are not in the employee import.  The system will assume they have been terminated and suspend their account while it waits for the user’s data to be moved to history.  If a user becomes suspended because they have inadvertently been omitted from the import, check the system generating the file for possible omission reasons.
