How to customize the manual-invitation (with a predefined message on it)

With the manual invitation feature, you can invite a visitor to your website to chat with you. You can customize the invitation by pre-defining a personalized message sent along with the invitation.

Step by Step Instructions

  1. Log in to your Comm100 control panel.
  2. From the left navigation menu, go to Live Chat > Campaign.
  3. Select a campaign from the drop-down list and go to Invitation.kb-invitation-03.png
  4. Select the Manual Invitation tab, and provide a personalized message in the Invitation Message section. You can also insert dynamic info in between your message.kb-invitation-01.png
  5. Select an invitation style for your message. Comm100 provides Bubble and Greeting Messages invitation styles.kb-invitation-02.png

    The Bubble invitation style only works with the Adaptive Chat button. Your invitation message appears above an agent avatar. 
    The Greeting message invitation style only works with an embedded chat window. When a chat invitation is issued, the embedded chat window on your website opens up and your invitation message appears as your greeting message in the chat window. 
  6. Click Save. 
    The settings and the changes will take effect immediately. Moreover, every time when you manually invite visitors to chat with you, you can edit the invitation message before sending out the invitation.
